DESCRIPTION:
This was my very first home design and build and the one that really got me excited about the home building process. Our daughter was young at the time and I wanted a playful very open feeling home where as soon as you opened your bedroom door you were in the middle of the action. I put the master bedroom and bath on the second floor for a bit of privacy. The heated concrete slab floor is still to this day one of the nicest set and forget heating options out there. Of course I had to put in a glass garage roll up in the main living area that looked out to our patio and a nice forest with no neighbors behind us. I also got to use a ton of reclaimed old growth barn wood and beams throughout the house and a bunch of custom metal work I did for the stairs.
